At Bling Show Fundraiser, our purpose is to provide support to families of students in APS Title-1 Schools who wish to improve their economic stability through collaboration with Shine Partnership. We achieve this through the resale of donated jewelry, purses and scarves. Join us in our journey to adorn the world with beauty and kindness, one jewel at a time.
The Bling Show began in 2012 as a fundraiser for Love INC of Albuquerque. Our mission was to mobilize local churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ. Love INC partnered with several churches to put “Jewelry Collection Boxes” out. People would donate jewelry, purses and scarves to resell in a “Bling Show.” That’s when the “Bling Team” was formed. We would get together on a regular basis to sort the jewelry and price accordingly. Once a year, we would have a huge jewelry sale to raise funds for Love INC. Love INC closed its doors in 2018, but the Bling Team decided to continue on while reestablishing itself and partnering with Shine. The Bling Team now works to put on not only one, but two annual events in order to fulfill our purpose bringing together Bargains, Bling and Blessings.

The Original Bling Team

The Bling Show Fundraiser collaborates with Shine Partnership, a non-profit organization that is dedicated to equipping churches to build capacity in schools and their neighborhoods. One of the services Shine offers is called Getting Ahead.
Getting Ahead is a 16-session workshop for families of students in APS Title 1 Schools who desire to improve their economic stability. Participants explore solutions to self-sufficiency and are empowered to break the cycle of generational poverty. Proceeds from the Bling Show Fundraiser benefit scholarships for the Getting Ahead Workshops. Participants are assisted with transportation and food security through the scholarships.
“The Getting Ahead Workshop helped me open the doors in my life I closed out of fear and complacency. I feel that it leaves no option but growth by helping people understand repeated generational cycles. It’s easier to make positive changes when you understand the issues at hand. We can’t change what we don’t know or understand.” – Rachel W.
“My experience with the Getting Ahead class was amazing. I learned techniques and strategies I never knew, and I am applying them to my daily living now. This training was right on time!” – Nina K.
